Macy & Ruby Gracie: Bad Santa

I don't know about you but I saw more photos of little ones crying on Santa's lap this year than ever. Maybe I was just more aware of them - or maybe it's because of the greater exposure thanks to Facebook and funny emails. Either way I am proud to say that the Candlish family now has our very own "crying with Santa" photo. Yep. Ruby screamed when she saw Santa and I was still insistent on getting a picture. I had to! It's "tradition" after all!?!? :-)

I fully expected to get a shot of Ruby crying this year - the signs all pointed in that direction. Minnie Mouse spooked her back in November and she is more skeptical of strangers these days that ever. What I DIDN'T expect was to be able to get in the photo with Ruby. Yep, that's right. Our 2010 Santa picture will now forever be referred to as, "the trip to See Santa when mama had to get in the picture." Please let this be the one and old year....

We shared the Santa experience with Connor just as we did last year. We hoped to get a picture of both of the kiddos with Santa but since Connor shared Ruby's dislike of the jolly old man we decided to spare Santa the torture. Hopefully we can revisit that tradition next year. Fingers crossed....
