What we've been up to...

Yikes. Mommy's been a BAD blogger. Time for some serious catch-up!
Here are some photos of how we've been keeping busy:

Nana and Papa had this girl over to spend the night recently. When I asked Ruby what she wanted to pack she immediately grabbed her purse which she insists on wearing "like a big girl". Thank you Nana and Papa for having her and so sorry about that projectile vomit that happened on the way home.... Ruby's still talking about when she "burped it up" in Papa's car. Would it be rude to tell you that I was sorry it happened to you but REALLY glad it didn't happen to me!?!?! Yea.... probably.

Ruby had a cold a couple weeks ago which she handled like a champ - barely even phased her even though she sounded horrible. We spent quite a bit of time snuggled in bed reading books and on the couch watching The Little Mermaid which was a welcomed change of pace around here. Sadly a couple days later I was hit with the same cold however it hit me like a ton of bricks. Thankfully this was my first time being sick as a mama - so I guess I should be glad I made it this far. I was EXTRA thankful that my two sickest days fell on the weekend. Daddy to the rescue!

I swear this girl enjoys some of the strangest things. I never thought she'd like green tea ice cream but she LOVED it. As if we needed another reason to go to sushi.

Mimi had a birthday so we helped celebrate -
lucky for Mimi we had a very special Elmo candle for her cake. Guess who's idea that was?

We joined some moms and kids from our playgroup last week at one of those indoor bounce house places. Shocker - Ruby LOVED it. The best part was her 3.5 hour nap when we came home. I TOTALLY get why parents are fans of these spots. We'll be back soon I'm sure.

Ruby's been taking her job of watering the "Ruby Plant" (planted in honor of Great Grandma Ruby) very seriously. Here she is watering it this past week when it was REALLY warm out.

We had a great day out on Uncle Turkey's boat a few weeks ago. It was perfect day to be on the water and I was surprised how entertained Ruby was just cruising around. She loved it!

Seeing these guys was obviously a highlight...

And finally, here is a picture from a recent daddy/daughter outing. Chris took Ruby on a little date just the two of them. I thought it was very sweet. Ruby seemed a little confused as to why I was saying "bye-bye" so enthusiastically instead of getting in the car but wound up having a great time (no surprise).

Ok - that's enough for now. Be back soon, promise.
