Our family photo from the 2009 OC Fair. Ruby was such a little peanut just 1 year ago!
Last year we had fun at the Fair but this year the fair was a much different experience - Ruby was able to actually participate and enjoy her busy self!
For Ruby's first "real" trip to the fair we tried our best to cover all of the must do activities - we saw the animals, ate our share of fried foods, rode the sketchy rides, played a few rigged games (SUCH a rip off!), and of course took our traditional family photo booth picture. Daddy wanted to take Ruby to see the World's Biggest Steer but I convinced him that we HAD to save something for next year!?!

Why must everything be HUGE at the fair? This "Cowabunga" corn dog was serious!
But no match for my hubby.....
We found pony rides and thought Ruby would LOVE it!
Yea, not so much!
She couldn't have cared LESS that the pony's name was Ruby which the man who was trying to convince her to get on the horse just couldn't understand.
Maybe next year....
So mommy decided to take Ruby on the flying elephant ride. MUCH better.
Apparently I had a good time on this one too....
Daddy insisted on taking Ruby on the Goliath Slide.
I wasn't so sure about it but Ruby loved it!
"Can we do it again Dad?"
We ended the night with some yummy dessert.
I think it's safe to say we have another funnel cake fan.
