The Happiest Place on Earth

Not a big fan of her Mickey ears but not to worry - she LOVED Disneyland!

What they say is true - there is no better trip to Disneyland than when you take someone who's never been. And then multiply that times ten when that newbie is your very own little one. I have never really been a big Disneyland person and I am guessing Chris isn't either being that we've never once been to Disneyland during our 10+ year relationship. We now have a brand new appreciation. What a fun day we had.

We managed to ride Small World, Dumbo, Storybook Land, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Jungle Cruise. We also went to Toontown to visit Minnie's house AND caught a parade! Ruby powered through the day with no nap, I don't think she wanted to miss a THING!

In my opinion, based on Ruby's reactions throughout the day, Disneyland should not just be called the happiest place on earth, but the most AMAZING place on earth. Exhibit A:

Our first ride of the day was It's a Small World and I can honestly say (and I think Chris and my parents would also agree) that Ruby's reaction to this ride alone was worth the whole trip. Ruby was in awe and I don't think she put her little pointer finger down the whole ride - she loved pointing out all of the "babies" from all around the world.

Disneyland was all decked out for Christmas and it really was magical

"Mom, Dad, I like this place. When are we coming back?"

Watching the Christmas parade - we NEVER thought we'd still be there to catch the parade but we were! Ruby was a trooper.

She went hard all day and then CRASHED on daddy's shoulder during the parade. I think that proves it was a successful first trip to Disneyland!

Can't wait to go back!
