What an amazing surprise! For our 4th wedding anniversary Chris planned a little getaway for just the two of us. He had given me a hint a week prior saying, "I've planned a little something for our anniversary so make sure you are free." Um..... let me check my schedule..... :-) Chris finally spilled the beans on the 4th of July and I was thrilled when I heard we'd be spending a few days in Vegas. The last time we were in Vegas was September 2008, just days before we found I was pregnant, so we were overdue for a trip. It was SO fun to just pack a bag and head off knowing everything was planned and taken care of.
A huge thank you to my parents who Chris arranged to stay at our house with Ruby while we were away. It made our vacation even more relaxing and fun to know that Ruby was at home and no doubt having a blast with two of her favorite people.
We had a really great time while in Vegas. We took advantage of the best Vegas has to offer - delicious food, plenty of drinks, gambling, a fantastic show, and lots of cruising around and sightseeing. I even got to sleep in a a bit which always equals a great vacation in my book.
Not only was the trip a surprise (SO not Chris to plan a vacation) but he really shocked me when he said that while in Vegas we were going to renew our vows! So cute! We of course went to the infamous "Brittany Spears" wedding chapel and it was awesome. Fun memories for SURE.
Thank you Chris for being so wonderful and planning such a special surprise. It's an honor to be your wife and I look forward to all the years of fun we have in store.
Let's make this anniversary surprise thing a tradition, OK? :-)
