A Holly Jolly Christmas

I can't believe it's over - even though we seemed to celebrate all month long it still felt like Christmas came and went quickly this year. We made some great memories this year and I know Ruby really enjoyed the Christmas season.

Here's a peek at scenes from Christmas 2011:

1. Thank God for Amazon.com - seriously. LIFESAVER!
2. The advent calendar was a big hit this again year. Ruby loved putting an ornament on the tree each day.

Our Elf of the shelf "Elfie" came to watch Ruby again this year. Thank goodness Ruby is still young and didn't care when Elfie hung out in the same spot for more than one day because I went to bed numerous times without moving him, Oops! I am going to need to step up my game for next year!

I found myself looking at this picture of Ruby's 1st Christmas MANY times this year - I couldn't help but look forward to next year when we'll have another little one that same age!

Ahh the Nativity Scene. Thank you Nana and Papa! Ruby loved playing with "baby G-suh"

Our Christmas art courtesy of Ruby's feet

Admiring the tree a few nights before Christmas

Christmas Eve morning - we had brunch with our besties. Never a dull moment but ALWAYS a blast.

Christmas Eve with the Candlish Crew

We of course had to leave treats for Santa and his reindeer!

Christmas morning - Santa was here!

Looks like Santa enjoyed the cookie and the reindeer ate some carrots and celery too!

Santa left a special note for Ruby. She was so glad to find her name on the "nice list"!

Thank you Santa! What an amazing Christmas - we were spoiled!
We had our very own Christmas miracle over here at the Candlish house - Chris was granted his long standing wish for owning a Lazy Boy. I am pretty sure I swore "We will NEVER...." but with a little convincing from his adoring mother-in-law my parents and I got him one. He LOVES it and I must say seeing how happy and comfy her is makes up for the chair's lack of "beauty."

Ruby's loot. Thank you to everyone who helped spoil her this year. She had been loving her gifts. Who knew a princess camera and a pink flashlight would make a 2 year old so happy?

Christmas Dinner at Dee & Tucka's

The day after Christmas we went to a party at the Elsten's so we could spend more time with our favorite Colorado crew - the Hock family. With 16 little ones running around it was quite the rowdy party!
Ruby and Paigey - sweet girls!

And last but not least, Ruby wishing the baby Merry Christmas.
20 Weeks - Half way there! We can't wait to meet the little one!
