Happy New Year!
2012 is here and that's pretty exciting. We have amazing things to look forward to this year - most importantly welcoming a new member to our family. I can't believe we'll be a party of four soon. So very exciting.
I spent some time today looking through last year's photos and it was a fun little trip down memory lane. I had a hard time picking just one photo to highlight each month - we did lots of fun things this past year!
Here's a little recap of 2011:
January: We kicked off the new year with our first of 12 monthly family dinners with the Candlish family. Also fun in January: visits from Aunt Rose and the Hock girls
February: We adopted Charlie, celebrated Valentines Day, attended the Khamis Super Bowl party, and a took a family trip to Arrowhead
March: Connor joined us on St. Patty's Day, we wished both Nana and Papa a happy birthday, & potty trained Ruby!
April was busy! Daddy built Ruby a sandbox, GG turned 80 & had a fun tea party, we took the train to San Juan Capistrano, celebrated Easter as well as Daddy & Mommy's birthdays.
May was crazy too. Ruby had swim lessons, we took a roadtrip to Uncle Joshie & Auntie Lulu's wedding and celebrated our little girl turning 2!
June: Baby Zoe arrived, Fathers Day, Dee & Tucka's had their 20th wedding anniversary and party, & Uncle Josh & Auntie Lulu's Southern CA wedding reception was here at the Candlish house
July: The 4th of July, Our 4th wedding anniversary & trip to Las Vegas, summer playdate with the Aunties & babies, bought our new beach cruisers - nightly bike rides started.
August: The Orange County Fair, Newport Coast Marriott, Summer BBQs and swim nights at Mimi's house
September: I found out on "Labor Day" that I was pregnant! The rest of the month was filled with LOTS of napping! Another highlight - Baby Grant arrived!
October: A trip to the pumpkin patch, saw baby #2's heartbeat via ultrasound, hosted a bounce house play group party, and celebrated Halloween!
November: Ruby turns 2 1/2, Thanksgiving, & we announced our pregnancy!
December: 2 trips to Disneyland, visit to Santa, picked out a Chritstmas tree, decorated the house, enjoyed sights of the season, and celebrated Christmas with family & friends.
Whew, what a year it's been.
Bring it on 2012!

What wonderful year 2011 was and, 2012 sounds to be just as evntful!!
Jaime - Such a great idea...year in review! I may have to steal that idea for my own blog :) Ps...I love the pillow and the shadow box with the dress in the back of the Sept pic! I notice all details and you have great style :) And since I haven't yet sent you a personal message...CONGRATS on your pregnancy! I can't wait for the update on gender (if you find out, of course :)
