4 Months Old!

Dear Ruby,

Yesterday you turned 4 months old! Whoa. What a difference a month makes! Daddy and I were just talking about how you used to be such a "bump on a log" and now you are just so curious and active. This past month has been so much fun, we love watching you take it all in.

You reached a few milestones this month which has been very exciting. Daddy and I were right there cheering you on when you rolled over from your belly to your back the other day. I am pretty sure you think we are crazy! You have gained much more control over your head this month so we brought out a few new toys. Your bumbo is your new "TV watching seat" and your Baby Einstein Activity center, now THAT is a toy! Plopping you in that for the first time was hilarious. Your eyes lit up as if to say "JACKPOT". You didn't know what to play with first!

This month your baby hair started falling out it is getting quite a bit lighter too. Your eyes are still a beautiful blue. I keep waiting for them to change but maybe they'll stay?? I think teething has begun. You are constantly using your finger to rub on your bottom gums - I can even see two little tooth buds under there! That should be interesting....

Mommy went back to work this month and it wasn't easy leaving you. I still come home each day at lunch to feed you and spend time with you. I think we are both adjusting pretty well. You are having fun with everyone who has been kind enough to watch you. Nana and Papa are the "regulars" but you've also been lucky enough to have your Aussie, Cousin Ashley, Gigi, and Tucka come stay with you! You are so loved.

What do you have in store for us next month? We can't wait for all that lies ahead. You are the light of our lives Ruby. Happy 4 month birthday!
