Ruby had her 4 Month Dr.'s appointment on Friday and according to Dr. Hennan Ruby is "Perfect". Hey, I thought so but now it's been confirmed! (Yes, I am one of THOSE annoying parents)
Ruby's 4 month stats:
Weight - 13 lbs 1 oz (50 Percentile)
Length - 24 inches (50 Percentile)
Sadly, at her appointment Ruby had her first round of immunizations. Most babies start their shots at 2 months of age but we decided to hold off just a bit. Ruby of course did NOT appreciate being stuck in the thigh - THREE times! It was hard to watch her get so upset but I tried to distract myself by doing the normal mom thing and taking pictures. Oh, that's not normal???
I have to admit I had a flashback to my senior year in high school when I was miserably laying on the couch after having my wisdom teeth removed and my mom had her camera out taking pictures. I couldn't understand WHY my mom was documenting such a crappy experience and now here I was taking pictures of my poor infant daughter being stuck with a needle...... It's a sickness. By the way mom, I think there is a photo out there of me "giving you the bird" and hiding my swollen face under a blanket somewhere. We must dig that up!
3 shots down and many more to go. So that I have record of it, these are the shots Ruby received:
1. Diptheria, Tetanus, & Pertussis
2. Polio
3. Haemophilus Influenzae Type B (Hib)
4. Hepatitis B
5.Pneumococcal Conjugate
