Dear Ruby,
Hey big girl! I just put you down for a nap in your crib and I stood there amazed while I watched you roll all around to find your "comfy spot" before drifting off to sleep. You love sleeping on your side and it cracks me up to watch find just the right spot. You look like such a big girl in your crib now. So different from just a couple months ago!
This month was all about TOUCHING everything and of course when you can, grabbing whatever you are touching and putting it in your mouth. This now includes your toes which is pretty cute, although it makes diaper changes just a little difficult. You love reaching out and grabbing your toys and mommy's hair. Your grip is pretty crazy - OUCH. My favorite is when I am holding you and you look at me with that big grin and you reach with both hands and grab my face and pull it in. So sweet! It gets me every time!
You went to two birthday parties this past month, joined a play group, went to the zoo, took a trip to the pumpkin patch, played with Connor, and "walked" in both the Breast Cancer and Diabetes walks. Yep - you've been BUSY! Daddy and I can't wait to spend the holiday season with you this year. Halloween is right around the corner and you are going to make the CUTEST bumblebee.
You've become quite attached to a few of your toys. It's so cute to see you light up when you see them. You have a favorite baby, a green froggy friend, a little blanky, and of course your purse. I love seeing you snuggle with the baby and the froggy when you nap. It's so sweet. I have been warned by a few other mommies to buy two of anything you get really attached too so we can avoid a crisis in the event one of them gets lost. I guess I better do that!
This month's milestones:
- Sleeping without the swaddle blanket
- Turning over from your back to your belly
- Sleeping on your belly
- Putting your binky back in your mouth
- TRYING to hold your own bottle - maybe next month!
Daddy and I love you Ruby girl!
Love,
Mommy
