Santa Ana Zoo

A couple weeks ago I decided to look for a local playgroup so that Ruby and I could get out and meet some other moms and babies. I searched online and found a Costa Mesa playgroup that looked fun and inviting. The group was going to the Santa Ana Zoo on Friday so I decided it was time Ruby and I go and meet everyone. It was a fun day - slightly chaotic (picture 15 toddlers running wild) but it was really nice to get out and meet other moms! There were about 15 moms and 20 or 25 kids total. Everyone was really friendly and it was fun meeting other girls with young ones. One mom had a daughter Gweneth who was just a month and a half older that Ruby so it was fun to compare notes.

Ruby is obviously too young to interact withthe kids but she still had a great time strolling around the zoo. Most of the animals were too far away to really catch her attention but she DID spot the pony and boy did her eyes light up!
I didn't take too many pictures - there was just too much going on, but I did snap this picture of Ruby. I am sure you can tell from her sweet expression that she thought the playgroup and zoo were a hit!

Later that night Ruby had LOTS to say. I think she was telling Daddy all about her day at the zoo. And possibly already working on him to get her a pony!!
