On September 27th Ruby and I joined my Mom, Dee, Aussie, and Skylar for the Susan G. Koman "Race for the Cure" in Newport Beach. Our family walks in this race each year in memory of my grandma "Nana" (my mom's mom) who battled breast cancer years ago. What an awesome and inspiring event! Every year the turnout grows and it is so heartwarming to witness the awarness and support - not to mention the amount of breast cancer survivors!! It was WELL worth waking up at 6:00 a.m. for!
Here are a few pictures from the day:
Ruby was a great addition to our "team" this year. She was decked out in all pink and she loved it! (Can't you tell?) Ruby's favorite part -I added a pink ribbon to her onesie and she chewed on it all morning.
My Mom, Ruby, and Aussie before the race
My friend Dianne and her friend Suzy walked too
Me, Ruby, and Dee aka "GG"
A toast at The Dock to celebrate!
