Winter fun in Mammoth

Two days after Christmas we piled into the car with Nana and Papa, a TON of luggage, and headed up to Mammoth for some fun in the snow. For the second year in a row we've spent the week between Christmas and New Years with my parents and our family friends the Benners. Last year we went up to Tahoe but this year we decided to avoid a plane flight and give Mammoth a chance. We were a little sad not to get to Tahoe but we wound up having a great time!

The weather was great. We had plenty of snow which was great for the skiers. With the help of a couple of on-site babysitters I was able to get sleep in a bit, read a few magazines, and even complete a few projects from the "to do" list. Daddy got to ski a couple days, jacuzzi, enjoy the brews at the Austria Hof, and of course watch a couple movies. Ruby spent most of her vacation playing with her toys inside but we made sure to take her out so she could experience the snow falling down and the feeling of snow on her hands. All in all it was a fabulous vacation. Thank you mom and dad for a great time!

Here are some photos of the trip:
"Ok Mom, where is this snow you keep talking about?!?"

Our cabin was right next door to the Austria Hof restaurant. We took a walk over for dinner one night. Ruby was snug as a bug in the Baby Bjorn!

She did a GREAT job at dinner. Her first time in a real high chair!

The skiing crew: Ryan, John, Taryn, Mike, and Chris

Ruby's idea of a great vacation - Barney on TV, Barney sitting next to her ready to play, a basket full of toys, and a view of the slopes right off the balcony.

We took a couple trips to the village for lunch and shopping. Thanks for babysitting Dad!

"I love my Papa!"

"Ok - I am ready to check out that white stuff a little closer!"

"Dad, I think I like it better inside!"

We found out that Ruby gets very serious in the cold!

The whole crew @ our farewell breakfast at The Stove. YUM!

Pit stop on the way home. Ruby was SO over her car seat.

Thanks again Mom and Dad for a fun and relaxing week.
We love you guys!
