Happy Birthday (a day late) to my amazing husband and the best "baby daddy" I know! Watching you blow out your birthday candles while holding your daughter was so special this year. This was the first birthday in our house since Ruby arrived and although we kept your celebration low key it was still fun and special thanks to Ruby. She's so good like that!
Chris, I hope you know how much your girls love you. We both look forward to you coming home each day. You crack us up, make us feel safe and secure, and so incredibly loved. I always knew you'd be an awesome father but you far exceeded my expectations. I am impressed by your patience, protectiveness, and your father-ly instincts. I do have to say what I've loved watching most is your fun-loving and playful side that Ruby brings out in you . You have the most HILARIOUS routine you do with Ruby's toy telephone - making it ring, answering it, and then talking to the mysterious person on the other line. It cracks me up every time! And the other night after work when you came in, wearing your swim trunks, while I was giving Ruby a bath and the proceeded to climb in - Ruby just lit up and my heart melted.
You have a gigantic heart and I know Ruby is going to grow up feeling so loved by her daddy. Thank you for all that you do for us and of course, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
This cake was YUMMY!

Blowing out the candles. Ruby isn't sure what's going on....
Ruby LOVED the balloons! She was so fired up by them!
Dianne and Richard came over to help Chris celebrate
