It's been a few weeks since our last play date with Erin and Connor so when we heard they were coming down our way on Friday we knew we had to plan a very special outing!
I've driven past Pomme Bebe on 17th street numerous times and I often wondered about it. I mean, what mom has the time to make a special trip to a fancy store just to buy "fresh organic baby food"? I checked out their website and thought, "Ok, well, at the very least this will make for a fun photo oportunity." (Yes, I really do think that way). I am pretty sure Erin thought I was nuts but she was a good sport and agreed to a "lunch date" for Connor and Ruby to catch up. We had quite a time! The babies got to sample a few exotic foods and we got to crack up and do what we do best - take pictures.
I am pretty sure we won't be making a habit of eating at Pomme Bebe as it isn't cheap but Ruby went home with Chicken Chili, Turkey Bolongnese, Creamy Chicken Apricot, and Turkey Pot Pie which I know she will enjoy. And what the heck? Only the best for our babies RIGHT?!?!?
After lunch we took a stroll to the park to swing and crawl around. Thank goodness Connor is such a "roll with the punches" kinda guy because my sweet daughter is quite the bruiser. She loves Connor so much and the only way she knows how to show him is to touch him. Unfortunatly she hasn't quite learned how to be gentle. I promise Connor - we are working on it!!
The last activity of the date (which looking back probably should have been the first) was trying to capture these two in an Easter photo shoot. Note to self, don't try and put silly ears on two babies who are already late for their afternoon naps. Oh well..... next year!!
