Fun Times on the 4th

Another fun 4th of July has come and gone. We had a great day filled with family, friends, food, and of course a few fireworks. We spent the day over at the Siebuhr/Hayne house - I don't think Ruby stopped moving the entire time we were there. Needless to say she had a BLAST. They have an enormous backyard with a pool, lots of grass, and even a playset with a slide and swing. What more could a one year old ask for?

When the sun went down we decided to head home as the little one was finally running out of steam. On our way home took a little detour and stopped by the Arbour house just to say a "quick" hello to our friends. We wound up arriving just in time for the firework show so we parked it out on the lawn and enjoyed the show. Ruby was adorable - she was so tired but intrigued at the same time. She laid perfectly still in my arms all bundled up with VERY wide eyes as she watched the fireworks in awe. It was the perfect ending to her second 4th of July.

I miss this little baby who just "hung out" with mama. But I sure love who she's turned into......

What a difference a year makes! This photo truly captured what the 4th of July was all about to Ruby this year. Running, running, running. Have I mentioned she's all over the place?

Ruby and Taylor going down the slide. Pure joy.

Ruby and Uncle Mike playing. She was SO wound up!

I love this face. Ruby had just heard her first big firework bang!

Ruby and her Mimi who she adores

Loving the pool!

And finally, I just had to share my little bit of domestic-ness. Here are the white chocolate covered strawberries that I made. They were YUMMY.
