We spent last week up in Arrowhead and it was a great time. I think it's safe to say Ruby's first vacation was a success! After a LONG day of packing last Sunday I was a little worried about how the week would go. Who knew a 9 week old required so much STUFF?!? I had visions of sleepless nights and fussy days but Ruby was a trooper. I think she really enjoyed bonding with her family.
We had a cabin right on the lake with a wonderful deck and gorgeous view. It was a relaxing week and nice to have so many family members under one roof. We spent our time just kinda hanging out. We had tons of yummy food and drinks of course. Chris golfed a couple times, Ruby entertained everyone with her "talking" and smiles, and I was able to finally sort thru the hundreds of photos I've taken the last couple months! At night we played our family favorite, Catch Phrase. That game never gets old when you play with our group. HILARIOUS! We also played beer pong, a new game for our family. Classy eh?

There was also a lot of patty cake and singing - Ruby was very entertained!
The weather was warm! To cool off we took a pontoon boat ride on Big Bear Lake.
Ruby was NOT a happy camper with this silly life jacket on. As soon as we took it off she slept the entire rest of the ride.
Thank you Mom and Dad for a fabulous trip - another great trip to add to the memory book!

What a great idea. My friend has a blog and I love reading about her son. I can't wait to see Ruby again. (Oh and I wouldn't have been a happy camper either with that life jacket on!!)
